Contractor, who was raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai prior to turning 7, had traveled the world and experienced various cultures while growing up. She was educated in a boarding-school in London between the ages of 7 and 9 years. Later, her family was relocated from London and moved to Toronto, Canada.
