Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor on WCBD TV. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. The present role of O'Dell as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
